Describe your (add)ventures journey.

My time as a summer intern at (add)ventures was a transformative experience that set me on the path to becoming the successful marketing strategist and project manager I am today. Starting out as a wide-eyed and inexperienced college student, I was eager to find a summer internship that would not only look good on my resume, but also arm me with tangible career skills.

From day one, I was welcomed with open arms by an enthusiastic team of colleagues that were longing to instill their wisdom upon me. The abundance of support and guidance I received extended beyond my direct marketing mentor, encompassing every colleague I had the privilege to collaborate with. From the marketing team, to the creative team, to designers, I was given hands-on opportunities to jump into client work and learn in real time how the advertising world operated.

What allowed me to seamlessly slide into my full-time role was a combination of mentorship, a supportive working environment, and continued curiosity. I was never shut down for asking a million questions, which gave me the confidence to excel as a full-time employee. My coworkers gave me the opportunity to discover my interests and strengths, treating me as an equal and inviting my contributions to projects.

Upon college graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I had already signed my job offer from (add)ventures, so I didn’t have to deal with the anxiety of finding a brand new job. I was already up-to-date on many projects, making it easy to move swiftly through the onboarding process and diving into projects. I had the advantage of working with many of the same client partners, which allowed me the opportunity to lead client communications within my first month of starting full-time.

I am beyond grateful to the (add)ventures team for helping me reach my full potential, and for making my decision to start full-time to the company an easy one. Looking back on my internship experience, I feel fortunate to be part of a company that values and empowers young talent like myself, and I look forward to continuing to grow and contribute to such a respected and talented organization.
